For the sake of this blog, I am an educator. I have taught K-12 and university level, public and private school students for 20 years. I am a California Credentialed teacher with a Masters in Education. Through my years of interacting with educators and parents alike, the discussion of motivation and inspiration was the most common challenge. How do I motivate my students? How do I make learning meaningful? How do I engage them in the activities? How do I get them to understand that this (whatever they are teaching) needs to be learned and is going to be important for the rest of their lives?
Motivating and inspiring students to make a personal connection with the concepts which would result in the student taking ownership of their own learning, thus becoming life-long learners, is why I started this blog. It is dedicated to all our “teachers” (parents, educators and all) that wish to learn and share practical ideas that motivate and inspire students to learn.
